Our Commitment

Bucknall Whitehouse Ltd is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, device, or browser. We want everyone who visits www.bucknallwhitehouse.co.uk to be able to find the information they need and use the site with ease.

What We Are Doing

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the recognised standard for accessible web content. In practice this means we aim to ensure that our website is:

  • Perceivable — information and content can be seen or heard by all users

  • Operable — the site can be navigated using a keyboard or assistive technology

  • Understandable — content is written in plain English and presented in a clear, logical way

  • Robust — the site works across a range of browsers, devices, and assistive technologies

How Accessible Is This Website

We believe this website is largely accessible, however we acknowledge that some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are a small practice and work within the constraints of the Squarespace platform on which our site is built. We continue to review and improve accessibility where we can.

Known limitations at this time include:

  • Some images may not have fully descriptive alternative text in all cases

  • Third party content embedded via Squarespace may not be fully within our control

Reporting Problems

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you find anything that is not working as expected or could be improved, please let us know at contact@bucknallwhitehouse.com. Your feedback helps us to continue improving.

Third Party Content

Our website is built on Squarespace. Some elements of the site are outside our direct control, including platform-level functionality and any third party tools or integrations. We encourage Squarespace and any other third party providers to meet accessibility standards, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of content they provide.

For information on Squarespace's own accessibility work, please visit squarespace.com.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you can contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), which enforces the Equality Act 2010 in England, Scotland, and Wales. Visit equalityhumanrights.com for more information.
